Message defaults

Amount and currency are used when a row leaves them blank. Terminal, institutions, currency and card are saved per target (—), so switching target loads that switch's own setup. UAT runs use them too.

Approved financial transactions land here. Settle sends a completion (0220) for an authorization; Reverse sends a reversal (0400) with the original RRN. Select rows to settle or reverse many at once.

Money checks

Bank database

For each RRN, SwitchProof reads the switch log, the accounting entries and the amount blocks, and checks what the transaction really did to the money. It only reads (SELECT): use a read-only database user. These details stay on this PC.

What's new

Releases

What changed in each version of SwitchProof. The website always runs the latest release; SwitchProof on your PC asks to update when it's older than the website needs.

1.4.5

1 October 2026Your own types, sources and currencies

Your own transaction types Team

  • Design a transaction type from a built-in one: its own name, message class (x100, x120, x200, x220), processing code and fields. Add, change or leave out any field; values can use placeholders such as {random:8}, {date:MMdd}, {account} and {amount}.
  • A live preview shows the exact message for the active switch, field by field, and flags values that don't fit the field. Test send one message before you save.
  • Saved types work straight away in load tests, bundles and UAT cases. Money moves as in the type they started from, so reversals, settlements and money checks work the same.
  • Submit a type for approval to have it shipped as a built-in type for everyone. Only its structure is sent; fixed values are masked unless you choose to share them.

Sources: where a transaction comes from

  • Ready-made sources per switch: on-us, remote on-us, off-us, international and our card abroad. Each sets the card (F2), acquirer (F32) and, if needed, forwarding institution, terminal, merchant type (F18) and entry mode (F22).
  • Pick a source for a run, for each bundle row or for each UAT step. Results and reports are grouped by source.
  • The money check compares the switch's on-us / off-us decision with the source, so a card or BIN set up wrongly on the switch is caught.

Currencies

  • Settlement amount and currency with their rate (F5, F50, F9) and cardholder billing amount and currency with their rate (F6, F51, F10), set per source.
  • The money check understands converted postings: it shows the rate the core used, compares the debit with the billed amount, and flags a posting that wasn't converted at all.

1.4.4

27 September 2026
  • Stand-in simulation always shows the switch address it actually sends to, even if the target is edited partway through a rehearsal.
  • The Feedback tabs (Board, My requests, New request) switch correctly again.

1.4.3

27 September 2026Stand-in simulation

Core banking cutover rehearsal Enterprise

  • Eight steps, each a button as on the night: switch to stand-in, positive balance file, transactions at the switch, connect the new core, samples, release the queue, reconcile, fully online.
  • The simulated switch approves or declines in stand-in on its own rules and the positive balance file (51 not enough balance, 61 over a stand-in limit, 91 no balance record), and queues what it approved.
  • The queue is released as advices (0220, 0120, 0420) with the repeats a switch sends when it gets no answer (0221, 0121, 0421), in time order and without overtaking.
  • Transactions that began in the legacy core: reversals of withdrawals approved just before the cut-off, and completions of holds the migration brought over. A force-post test sends a withdrawal above the balance.
  • Reconciliation of every RRN (posted once, reversals, holds, value dates), of each account (balance before plus what the switch approved equals balance after) and of the switch's totals against the GLs.
  • Replays of up to 30,000 advices, several in flight, with a "must finish within" target and a live projection. Printable report and CSV.

1.4.2

27 September 2026
  • UAT: Settle and Reverse steps can act on any transaction by its RRN (Of RRN), including one from an earlier run or found in the switch log, not only the step above.
  • The original data element (F90) of settlements and reversals is always complete.

1.4.1

27 September 2026
  • Money check for off-us cards: GL-to-GL postings are recognised and each GL is shown with its name.
  • The version is shown in the agent and on the download page.
  • The installer closes a running agent, upgrades it and starts it again.
  • Launch offer for card plans: 50% off every month.

1.4.0

27 September 2026Plans and money checks
  • SwitchProof moves to switchproof.online.
  • Plans: Free, Team and Enterprise. Buy by card with monthly billing and a free trial, or ask for an invoice with "Talk to us". My plan shows what your plan includes; invite codes can be redeemed there.
  • Money checks Enterprise: with read-only access to the bank database, every RRN of a load test or UAT run is checked for its holds, postings and balances.
  • Pricing, terms, privacy and refund pages.

1.3.0

25 September 2026
  • Bundles Team: several transaction types in one load test, in the shares you set, each optionally reversed or settled straight after approval. Presets: balance-neutral, ATM day and POS day.
  • An agent older than the website needs is asked to update before it's used.

Before 1.3.0

24 – 25 September 2026First releases
  • Load tests against an ISO 8583 switch: number of transactions, duration and concurrency, with live throughput and response-time chart, response codes, errors and recent transactions.
  • UAT: a library of test cases with steps and expected response codes, runs with evidence, printable reports and CSV exports.
  • Transaction types for ATM and POS, completions and reversals; ISO 8583:1987, 1993 and 2003 message formats.
  • Open transactions: settle or reverse approved transactions one by one or in bulk.
  • A warning when a switch is still set to the sample card number and acquirer.
  • Plain explanations when the switch drops connections under load.
  • Feedback board for feature requests, changes and problem reports, with votes.
  • Windows installer with Java built in: the agent runs on your PC and connects the website to your switch; nothing about your tests leaves your PC.
